Hair Comp Success Down To A Fine Art

26 September 2006

FIONA'S Art of Hair has again achieved success on a national scale thanks to two of its hairdressers.

Erica Watkins and Alison Carter rose to the challenge for the Corrimal salon in a field of 900 entrants.

The annual Goldwell Colour, Cut and Style competition involved hairdressers in six categories submitting before and after shots.

Each of the 65 finalists then re-created the look with professional photographer Ian Golding and make-up artists from Napoleon Perdis creative team.

They were then presented to an expert panel of national and international judges before the winners were announced at the Sydney Opera House.

Erica and Alison made it into the finals of the Apprentice Men's Cut 'n' Colour category.

They were told it was unheard of for two stylists from the same hairdressing salon to be selected in the same category.

Alison was also selected in the Apprentice Ladies Cut 'n' Colour section.

Erica won the Men's Cut 'n' Colour section and Alison was highly commended by the judges in both categories.
